If I want to track where sales are coming from and WHY some users are buying but others aren't, can I do this?
Of course! With the premium versions of VisitorSpy, you can easily set up sales, actions, and goal campaigns so that you can accurately see which visitors purchased and which ones didn't. And if you want to watch ONLY the visitors who bought from you (aka. a successful action) then you can filter it down so only those videos and stats show. There's an in-depth tutorial video showing this on the members area help page.

The stats and data filtering is completely customizable, so you're not bogged down with information that you could care less about.
What's the first thing I need to do to track my website? Where do I start?
First, you need to get your trial account here. Then, simply add the website domain you're wanting to track. Once your website is added, you'll be taken to the install page. Simply follow the steps on that page to get your tracking script installed and the code added to your webpage. We have a very easy to follow, step-by-step tutorial if you have questions about this. It's all located on the Help page in the members area.
Can you install the script on a WordPress blog?
Absolutely! The script can be installed on any type of website. Step-by-step instructions for installation are located in the members area, in video or pdf format.
Will the tracking code negatively affect my website in any way?
No, not at all! It's a small line of code that runs with a script, just like many others (wordpress, joomla, etc). It will work in the background, so you don't need to worry about anything interferring with your site. It will also not have any negative affect on SEO of your website.
Do I need to know techie stuff to be able to install the tracker?
Nope. Anyone who knows how to follow simple instructions can install the script. It's very step-by-step and easy to follow. You just need to perform a few simple steps. In addition to the short video walk-through, there is also a step-by-step PDF tutorial to guide you if you have questions.
If I have 2 subdomains like: subdomain1.domain.com and subdomain2.domain.com, can I track both of them as 2 different sites within VisitorSpy?

Yes. You would need to think of those 2 subdomains as two separate sites since you don't want the stats to be combined together in your members area. So each subdomain would need to be independent of each other and would therefore require the tracking script to be installed twice (one time for each subdomain folder). To do this, simply click "Add Website" and add the first subdomain. Then use the Manual Installation (do not use auto-install with subdomains). After you install the script on the first subdomain and add the tracking code to your pages, you can move on to the 2nd subdomain and do the same.

Each website that you track will have a unique tracking script, specifically for that site. So you cannot use the same tracking script installation files for each website. So if you want to track two websites, you must first add the website in your members area and install the tracking script that is created for that website.

What if a visitor doesn't want their visit tracked?

If for whatever reason your visitor doesn't want their visit tracked, then they simply need to disable javascript in their browser. This is usually found in the browser's Preferences/Options area.

Do you save any sensitive visitor data that is enter into a form or text field on my website?

No. Whenever a visitor enters text into a text field/form on your website, the actual text in the video playback will not appear. Instead, the text will be replaced by ******* to preserve the privacy of data that may be entered into forms.

What's the "Advanced Reports" section for?

This is a very useful feature. It the regular stats don't make you happy, you can go even deeper and customize what data you want to view. You can pick and choose what data to show and select specific criteria to filter.

For example, you could check how many people used IE the last 3 days AND bought your product (converted your action campaign) AND got to your site from Google? Or, how many people came in from a specific affiliate and bought your product? Or you can filter out and view all visitors who came to your site from search engines AND only visited your opt-in page AND who also signed up.

The Advanced Report feature is 100% customizable for you, depending on what data you want to see and the data that has been recorded for your website. You can find answers to almost any question you have about your traffic by using the advanced reports section.
